De nieuwe sanitaire voorzieningen in de landelijke basisschool Svaysor in Battambang, Cambodja zijn klaar! Daarmee komt het SHE (School, Health & Education) project tot een mooi einde.
De opening werd gevierd met een grote ceremonie, in aanwezigheid van de afgevaardigde van het ministerie van onderwijs, de afgevaardigde van de community, CAD, de schooldirecteur, leerkrachten, leerlingen en ouders.
Daarnaast werd er een Wash & Hygiene Training gegeven aan leerkrachten en leerlingen.
Onze investering zorgt ervoor dat de school meer leerlingen mag verwachten uit de kwetsbare gemeenschap uit de omgeving. Vooral meer meisjes.
We zijn enorm trots op het werk uitgevoerd door onze lokale partner Children's Action for Development.

Impact SHE project
• Met € 2.020,36 bouwde CAD nieuwe sanitaire voorzieningen in de Svaysor Primary School en werden Wash & Hygiene trainingen voorzien.
• De school telt 578 leerlingen (326 jongens, 252 meisjes) en 15 leerkrachten.
• Resultaat: de voorzieningen zullen zorgen voor verhoogde dagelijkse aanwezigheden op school. Vooral voor meisjes.
SHE project completed!
The construction of new sanitary facilities at rural Svaysor Primary school in Battambang, Cambodia is finished! So, the SHE (School Health & Education) project comes to an end.
The opening of the new toilets was celebrated with a big ceremony under the presence of the deputy of the Department of Education, the deputy of the community, CAD, the school director, teachers, students and parents.
Also, a Wash & Hygiene Training was given to the teachers and students.
Our investment will result in a steep increase of children of the vulnerable communities attending classes at the school. Especially more girls.
